Christian Erdmann (* 1975 in Rudolstadt ) is a German actor .

Life

Erdmann studied from 1995 to 1999 at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg . From 1999 he played at the Meininger Theater (South Thuringian State Theater). In 2002 he became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Hanover Theater . From 2009 to 2016 Erdmann was engaged at the Dresden State Theater. He has been engaged at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus since 2016 . Since summer 2019 he has been working as a freelancer in order to be able to devote himself more to work for film and television.

He worked with Jürgen Gosch , Andreas Kriegenburg , Stephan Kimmig , Roger Vontobel , Barbara Bürk , Matthias Hartmann and Tilmann Köhler , among others . Erdmann works regularly for film and television, also in leading roles, such as in Just a Handful of Life and Departure into Freedom . In 2017 he took on the role of chief inspector Frank Weller, who investigates in the East Frisian thriller by Klaus-Peter Wolf alongside Ann Kathrin Klaasen ( Christiane Paul , from 2019 Julia Jentsch ).

He lives in Düsseldorf .
