Andreas Giebel (born June 4, 1958 in Munich ) is a German cabaret artist and actor .

Life

The son of a doctor grew up with two brothers in Munich. Before he found his way to cabaret, he learned the profession of decorator so that he could later become a stage designer . Later he worked as a masseur and finally was caretaker at the Dom Pedro elementary school in Munich.

Giebel first appeared with his own texts at the age of 21. In 1984 Giebel presented his first full-length stage program Man is his fault! After a successful application, he was awarded the Passau executioner's ax the following year . Since 1986 he has devoted himself full-time to cabaret. Since then, numerous solo programs have been created, including Vom Heben Drawn (2000) and ... Towards the Sun! (2003). In 1991 he appeared for the first time with Urban Priol with the program Gehn tut alles , which was followed by another duo program with Mehr untenrum . Together with Georg Schramm , Giebel and Störtebeker brought a Schwank in two acts on stage in 1999 . In addition to appearances in currently broadcast cabaret programs such as Grünwald Friday Comedy or news from the institution , he was often a guest at Ottfried Fischer's in Otti's slaughterhouse . In 2007 Giebel's eighth solo program premiered in the collecting basin of passion , followed in 2011 by Das Rauschen in den Trees . Andreas Giebel was with the German Cabaret Award , the Bavarian Cabaret Award and the German cabaret prize awarded.

Andreas Giebel acted as an actor in the Sigi Zimmigart film Schartl and in 1993 played a leading role in the Tatort episode Alles Palermo by Josef Rödl . In 2008 Giebel took part in Marcus H. Rosenmüller's film adaptation of the life story of the robber Kneißl as well as in Oliver Mielke's film comedy Ossi's Eleven . In 2009 he played the dairy owner Johann Schüssler in the comedy Die divine Sophie . In addition to Eva Mähl , Christian Springer , Michael Altinger and Günter Grünwald , Giebel was seen in the sketch series Die Komiker . After guest appearances in the BR series Café perjury , director Franz Xaver Bogner discovered Giebel as a series actor and cast him with the role of the police chief Xaver Bartl , who was just as pragmatic as he was with the grumpy humor typical of the region in Munich 7 . Since 2006 he has belonged as KHK Prantl to the Rosenheim Cops in 18 episodes so far to represent Joseph Hannesschläger . In the television comedy Who's Afraid of the White Man? from 2013 Giebel played the main role of an undead in the form of the xenophobic arch-conservative butcher Franz Rissmeyer and shortly thereafter took on the role of Kati's father in Rosenmüller's trilogy Best Time , Best Area and Best Chance .

Andreas Giebel is the father of four daughters and lives in Munich. Since 2008 he has been the patron of the donation project “Help for Kids” of the district youth association Munich-Stadt , with which children and young people affected by poverty and socially disadvantaged are supported.
