content
Pastor Steffensen allows himself to be transferred from Hamburg to Fischbach because he hopes that this will make it easier for him to adhere to the commandment of celibacy . There Steffensen meets the atheist widow Sophie Strohmayr, who later helps him around the house . Her friend Inge Schüssler moves into the parsonage with her, who fell out with her husband after an affair with Sophie's son.
Inge Schüssler's husband Johann is so hurt by his wife's infidelity that he unceremoniously closes his local dairy, which secures jobs for many of Fischbach's residents, and disappears to his hunting lodge. In addition, the dairy has been doing worse and worse lately. When Sophie asks Inge to sign an order for milk and yoghurt cups because Sissi Pelzer, who works in Schüssler's office, is not authorized to do so, Inge refuses on the grounds that she doesn't give a shit about the dairy. Sophie doesn't give up and tries to show her friend the consequences of her selfish behavior. Inge goes to himself and offers her help. First she signs the order. Sophie thought about how the dairy could get a better order book, when she remembered the pastor's question about the sixth commandment, which she couldn't answer. Your idea now looks like this, to print one of the Ten Commandments on each of the different yogurt pots. She thinks that if such a yoghurt pot were to be on the breakfast table of many in the future, then maybe they would talk about the commandments again and start talking. This is what happens and business is doing more than well. Sophie lets Steffensen know that she has never enjoyed anything as much as working with and with him, whereupon he says he has never met an unchristian woman with so much charity.
When the church advises Steffensen to dismiss Sophie because she is not a member of the church, he does not allow himself to be impressed and stands by her. He remembers Sophie's words that he should ask her why she left the church and his answer: “Well, why yes, because they would rather yodel their money elsewhere, like everyone else. Because of people like you, it's raining into German churches. ”And her reply that she had asked God for help after the birth of her son when she was all alone, but that he had sent the cancer to the father of her child and she looked after him here in Fischbach until his death. The Schüssler couple also find each other again and the church in Fischbach is fully occupied on Sundays. And then the “yoghurt campaign” even calls the cardinal onto the scene, who, quite surprisingly, pays Fischbach a visit.
To Sophie's and the pastor's great joy, Sophie's cat Dorle, who was hit by Steffensen on his arrival, is sitting in front of the parsonage's front door one morning. Five little kittens now have their cat mom back.

Reviews
"Undemanding, entertaining (television) comedy according to standard, which draws some charm from the clash of completely opposing mentalities."
“A fresh, cheeky tone in an upright staging. Conclusion: entertaining, but not a godsend "
