Martina Brand (* 1957 in Darmstadt ) is a German screenwriter .

Life

Brand studied general and comparative literature in Mainz and wrote glosses, book and film reviews for the feature pages of local daily newspapers during his studies. After completing her studies, she worked as a radio journalist, writing features and short radio plays for Hessischer Rundfunk, SWR and other broadcasters. In the 1990s she switched to television, worked on series and subsequently developed her own series for prime time, for example the pediatrician Leah with Simone Thomalla or the crime comedy series The Nun and the Commissioner with Ann-Kathrin Kramer and Günther Maria Halmer.

Her best-known television films include What do women do at 3:30 in the morning? with Brigitte Hobmeier , Anna's nightmare shortly after 6 with Gesine Cukrowski and Benjamin Sadler as well as The most beautiful gift of my life with Jutta Speidel and Bruno Maccallini in the leading roles.

Martina Brand has lived in Berlin since 2007 .
