The idiosyncratic and lovable nun Camilla, who was transferred to the Marienthal Monastery, found the body of Tobias Schäfer, the deputy managing director of Anton Boenisch's company, in the monastery chapel shortly after her arrival. At the scene of the crime, she also meets 20-year-old Svenja, who is nine months pregnant. The father of the child-to-be is the dead. The work of the police is directed by Inspector Josef Baumert. Convinced of Svenja's innocence, Camilla solves the murder and convicts the former pharmacist and marriage fraud Angelique Koslowski shortly before her planned wedding to Anton Boenisch. The paths of Camilla and Baumert cross over and over again.
