Constance Wetzel , also Constanze Wetzel and Constanze Wetzel-Spiekermann , (born April 20, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a German actress . She became known to a larger audience primarily through her role as Mara Simon in Edgar Reitz 's mini- series Heimat 3 - Chronik einer Zeitwende .

biography

Constance Wetzel was trained at the Hedi Höpfner drama school from 1985 to 1987 and at the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York from 1987 to 1989 . During this time she also appeared in the theater under the direction of Horst Jüssen . From 1989 she had roles in various television films and series, for example in 25 episodes of the family series Our Hagenbecks and the four-part miniseries The Great Bellheim . Constance Wetzel is the daughter of a Hamburg banker . She was in a relationship with former tennis professional Boris Becker . She is married to the physiotherapist Frank Spiekermann. The couple, who split in 2008, have two children, Josephine and Keno. When he was five years old he played keno with his mother in Heimat 3 . Constance Wetzel's hobby is equestrian sport ; she played polo and does dressage . She has been in a relationship with the rider Thomas von Samson since 2009.
