Chariklia Krause

Chariklia Krause (born June 5, 1980 in Recklinghausen ) is a German director .

Live and act

From 1996 to 1999 she completed an apprenticeship in Recklinghausen as a lawyer and notary assistant. This was followed by a second training at the Linnich Police Training Institute to become a police officer. The police had their first experiences with film work and interest in films was aroused. From 2003 to 2004 she completed a scriptwriting degree at IFS Hamburg , which she successfully completed. At the beginning of 2004 the first project "Playmates - Friends for Life" followed, which was performed in 2005. This was followed by several short films, including "Final Kick" with Michelle Monballijn, who came in third at the 34th Festival of Nations in Austria. As a result, there was close collaboration with the well-known actors Helmut Zierl , Patrick Bach and Maya Bothe on the short film "... because bad people don't know songs" (2006). In the last two films mentioned, there was also the first author work. This is how u. a. Dialogue and monologue in the short film "Final Kick" as well as the final version for "... because bad people don't know songs".

In addition to the scenic film, Chariklia Krause produced some music video clips, commercials, animations, documented the “biggest street fashion show in the world in Krefeld” (2008), accompanied the band “ Menschenskinder ” on the tour “Wenn der Mensch” (2008) and worked among other things in the Cologne studio ( RTL , “ Alles was geht ”, storyline). In 2007 she produced a cinema commercial for young people on the subject of road safety for the city of Krefeld ( Freddy Fairkehr ).

Chariklia Krause has been living in her hometown Recklinghausen again since the beginning of 2009.

In October 2009 the short film "Mittendrin" won 3rd place at the Short Art Festival in Mainz. In November 2009, it was broadcast on the WDR Short Film Night and was nominated for the German Young Talent Award 2009. Chariklia Krause selected the locations and acted from the background in the production area.

From August 2010 it became quiet around Krause. Several personal setbacks forced her to take a break. In September 2011 Chariklia Krause became a mother for the first time and has been in close contact with Michelle Monballijn again since the beginning of 2011.
