Acting school stage studio
The drama school stage studio , also stage studio for the performing arts , is a private educational institution in Hamburg and offers training in the field of performing arts . With more than 50 years of teaching experience, the school is one of the oldest BAföG- recognized drama schools in Germany.
history
1959-1988
In 1959, Hedi Höpfner (1911–1988) founded the stage studio for the performing arts in Hamburg. Hedi Höpfner began her acting career together with her sister Margot at an early age. In the 20s to 40s they celebrated their greatest successes on stage and in film. The two sisters founded their own drama schools in Hamburg at the end of the 1950s. The stage studio for the performing arts, at which dance and drama was taught under the direction of Hedi Höpfner, was born in Hansastraße, near Rothenbaumchaussee . In Höpfner's more than 30 years of activity, the stage studio of the performing arts has become one of the most renowned drama schools in Germany, from which successful actors such as B. Klaus J. Behrendt , Thomas Fritsch and Christoph M. Ohrt .
1988-2003
In 1988 the actress Doris Kirchner took over the management of the drama school. Born in Graz in 1930, Kirchner trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar and played at the renowned Burgtheater in Vienna. In the course of her career, Doris Kirchner has appeared in over 40 films - she stood in front of the camera with actors such as Karlheinz Böhm , Gert Fröbe and Hardy Krüger . She taught the principle of perception , improvisation and phonetics at the theater school stage studio .
Since 2003
Since the summer of 2003, Peter Ohrt has been heading the stage studio for the performing arts. The co-founder of the Kulturfabrik Kampnagel Hamburg founded and ran the Theater School Cockpit at Kampnagel and has been working as a theater teacher and director since 1991. In 1997 he set up the Orange Theater with an affiliated studio for voice, drama and movement.
