Sarah Maria Besgen (born August 15, 1979 in Lammersdorf ) is a German actress and photographer . Her mother is the painter Annette Besgen .

Career

Sarah Besgen gained early stage experience as a child and adolescent at the Siegen Dance Theater.

Following her school days in Siegen and Cologne , she moved to Paris , where, in addition to her acting development, she also achieved success as a model. She completed her acting training at the stage studio for the performing arts in Hamburg in 2003 and continued it in 2012 in the acting classes of Larry Moss in Berlin and Susan Batson in New York.

From 2006 to 2010 Besgen was in the role of Miriam Brehm in the telenovela of the first , red roses to see. During this time she lived mostly in Lüneburg .

She is regularly present in various film and television productions, including in SOKO Stuttgart , Alarm for Cobra 11 , Rosamunde Pilcher , Das Traumschiff , Hubert and Staller and as protagonist Melissa Brock in the Sat.1 series Alles oder alles .

On stage she was seen in the Hamburger Theater im Zimmer , under Detlef Altenbeck's direction in Tamara and as Winnetou's sister Nscho-tschi at the Karl May Festival in Elspe.

It followed u. a. the role of Regine Engstrand in ghosts from Ibsen in the theater guest performances Fürth and as evil Stiefschwester in Three Nuts for Aschenbrödel in a production of the Apollo Theater in Siegen.

In addition to acting, Sarah Besgen regularly works as a model. These include: B. the campaigns of Red Wing Shoes, Dr. Hauschka Natural Cosmetics, Deutsche Post, BMW and Calvin Klein.

Since 2006 Sarah Besgen has also dedicated herself to the therapeutic aspect of acting as part of her training as a theater therapist. In this context she was u. a. in the psychiatry Hamburg-Ochsenzoll , the "Jugendhilfe" and the "Junge Theater Siegen eV" active.

Sarah Besgen also achieved notoriety with her Polaroid photography, which she has been working on intensively since 2011. After three exhibitions in Berlin, her works were shown in numerous other locations as early as 2013. In addition, a catalog with the title “Worldwidepolaroid” was created in cooperation with the Carpentier Gallery in Berlin-Charlottenburg . Since 2015, two Polaroid motifs have been published as postcards by Taurus Verlag.

Besgen has been teaching acting and acting for children and young people since 2012. a. with their own productions. Between 2012 and 2017 she worked as a teacher at drama schools nationwide.

In addition to child and youth work, her coaching concepts include a broad spectrum of acting training for adults, which she arranges at her locations in Berlin and Siegen.

She is represented as an actress by the Hamburg agency Reuter.

Besgen lives in Berlin, where her son was born in 2019.
