Berno Kürten

Berno Kürten (* 1956 in Düsseldorf ) is a German film director , screenwriter and producer.

Life

Berno Kürten grew up in Ratingen and, after graduating from high school, studied sociology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and psychology at the Free University of Berlin . After a stay in the USA he worked from 1979 a. a. with Alfred Vohrer , Uli Edel , Roland Klick and Robert van Ackeren as script / continuity and assistant director . He also directed video clips for Nena , Palais Schaumburg (band) and Nazareth (band) .

Kürten's first full-length feature film Land in Sicht was awarded first prize by the audience jury at the German Children's Media Festival “ Goldener Spatz ” in 1991 and, like his Tele-Vision competition entry, shown at the Berlinale in 1989, received das from the German Film and Media Assessment Predicate “particularly valuable”.

Since 1992, Kürten has worked as a television director and screenwriter, u. a. for crime productions such as the crime scene series and Nord Nord Mord as well as television games of all genres.

Berno Kürten lives near Potsdam .
