Roller coaster (TV series)
Roller Coaster - Movies About Friends Today is a 69-part television series for children and teenagers that was broadcast from February 23, 1992 to 2002.
Nenad Djapic , Andreas Dresen , Gerburg Rohde-Dahl , Laila Stieler , Herbert Günther , Sigrid Zeevaert , Derek Meister , Marc-Andreas Bochert and Hannelore Unterberg were responsible for the writing and direction of the episodes produced on behalf of ZDF , the editorial team was included Susanne van Lessen.
Content
The mostly self-contained 30-minute episodes with changing protagonists, narrated from a child's perspective, deal with friendships and dealing with difficulties and problems in everyday life for children. Embedded in the action are non-violent conflict resolution options, problem solving with the help of friends and the development of social, democratic behavior. In addition to friendship, love, violence, quarrels and betrayal with pleasure, current topics such as the Stasi past, the division of Berlin , child abuse and consumer and media behavior are also discussed .
With the working materials published in 1996 by the Lower Saxony State Institute for Further Education and Further Education in Schools and Media Education (NLI, today NLQ ) : Roller Coaster - Films About Friends Today , media education materials are available for discussion in the context of school lessons.
Awards
The episode Die Spezialistenshow was awarded the Erich Kästner TV Prize of the Babelsberg Media Prize , donated by the GWFF , for the best German-language children's and youth television program, and in June 2002 the Prix Jeunesse International in the category “6 to 11 years of fiction”. As part of the German children's media festival Goldener Spatz , the author Laila Stieler was awarded the prize for the best book.
