Frederick Lau
Frederick Lau (born August 17, 1989 in West Berlin ) is a German actor . He is a Grimme Prize winner and a two-time winner of the German Film Prize .
Private life
Frederick Lau grew up in Berlin-Steglitz and still lives there today. He has been in a relationship with Annika Kipp since September 2013 ; In 2015 the couple married. The two have three children.
Lau is close friends with his actor colleague Kida Khodr Ramadan . In 2018, Ullstein published their book Together we are Kings. What makes men friends.
Career
In 1999 he first applied for a film role. At first he was looked after by the agency Faces , now he is with Players . The breakthrough as an actor paved the former Berlin judo master the role of the assertive student Tim in Dennis Gansel's literary adaptation The Wave . For this achievement he received the German Film Award for Best Supporting Actor . In 2015 he received the German Film Prize again , this time for best leading actor in Victoria .
