Maxim (born May 15, 1982 in Siegburg ; real name Maxim Richarz ) is a German musician / singer-songwriter.
Life
Richarz was born to a French mother and a German father and grew up in Königswinter . In Sankt Augustin he attended a Waldorf school and passed his Abitur at the Integrated Comprehensive School Bonn-Beuel . After his community service, he took up a degree in business administration at the University of Cologne , which he broke off. He also dropped out of an SAE degree in sound engineering after one semester.
He took his first musical steps in the area of roots reggae . As a schoolboy, he recorded a semi-professional tape . Later the Bonn reggae singer Nosliw became his mentor. He invited Maxim on a tour as a background singer. In November 2005 he published his debut album Maxim with reggae songs in German with the help of Thilo Jacks . On his second album , Falling Backwards , he came closer to pop music . In 2011 his third album Asphalt was released . His fourth album Staub (on which he had received support from Judith Holofernes ) was released on May 31, 2013, it contained among other things the hit "My soldiers". In 2016, The Little We Are, an album that was a little more electronic and darker was released. In 2017, Reprise followed , on which new arrangements of the previous album were supplemented with a remix of "My Soldiers".
On September 20, 2014, Maxim started for North Rhine-Westphalia at the tenth Bundesvision Song Contest with the song Everything tried and took eighth place.
Maxim is the father of a daughter (* 2018); he lives with his girlfriend in Cologne.
