laut.de is a German-language online magazine that deals exclusively with light music , especially pop music , rock music , alternative , metal , hip-hop , jazz and techno .

This happens in the form of record reviews , interviews , biographies of important artists, music and scene-related news as well as concert reports and recommendations. laut.de was founded and built up in 1998 by Seitenbau GmbH in Konstanz . On January 1, 2001 the project was spun off in the form of Laut AG. The director of the magazine is Rainer Henze. 14 music journalists and programmers work at laut.de.

With 11.9 million page views per month at 2.5 million visits ( IVW , October 2006) was laut.de roughly on par with the Internet offer from mtv.de and in visitor numbers before bravo.de and viva.tv However, on page views clearly behind.

laut.de was one of three winners of the 2002 price for online editing from the State Institute for Communication Baden-Württemberg .
