Philip Baumgarten

Philip Baumgarten (born January 18, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German theater director . From May 1998 to July 1999 Baumgarten played the "super genius" Tom Kühne (also called: the Lexicon ) in the children's and youth series Schloss Einstein .

life and career

Philip Baumgarten was born in Berlin in 1986. At the age of 10 he played roles in the theater and a short time later on television. After school he studied philosophy at the Free University of Berlin and theater directing at the HfS Ernst Busch . He then worked as assistant director at Theater Freiburg, where he in March 2013 the rhinos of Eugène Ionesco staged as a thesis. Philip Baumgarten conducts movement, language and storytelling research. Today he lives in Berlin as a freelance director and author.

As a director and author, he repeatedly leads youth theater groups of the Offenen Kunstverein Potsdam.
