Mustafa Hadid (born August 25, 1988 in Kabul ) is an Afghan football player who last played for Hamburg's upper division Altona 93 .

Life

Hadid came to Hamburg with his family from Afghanistan when he was two years old to escape the war there. Since his time at Eintracht Norderstedt he has been studying environmental technology at the HAW Hamburg .

Career

Club career

Hadid started playing soccer at Hamburger SV in the B-Jugend . There he was unable to prevail against competitors such as Sidney Sam and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting , so he switched to Hamburg's upper division Eintracht Norderstedt via the Germania Schnelsen station . Here he made 47 games in two years and scored a total of 20 goals. Therefore, the trained striker moved to Altona 93 in the Hamburg Oberliga in summer 2009 .

In his first season he was able to assert himself as a regular player and missed only eleven league games by the winter break of 2011/12. Then he was seriously injured and was out for the entire second half of the season. Despite the long downtime, he did not lose his regular place and was converted into a flank player by coach Oliver Dittberner . Although Hadid with Altona 93 was only twice not in the top 5 of the league until the 2014/15 season, the promotion to the Regionalliga Nord never succeeded.

During the international match against Singapore on March 29, 2016, he again injured his leg seriously, so that he was out for around eight weeks. He made his comeback on May 17th in a 3-2 win against TSV Buchholz 08 , when he came on in the 70th minute. With Altona 93 he reached the final of the Hamburg Cup against Eintracht Norderstedt (1: 4 a. V.); Substituted in the 71st minute, he had to be replaced only five minutes later due to an injury. A cruciate ligament rupture was later diagnosed and he was out for several months.

No new Hadids club has been known since the summer of 2018 and therefore one can probably assume that his career will end.

National team

For the Afghan national team , Hadid was nominated for the first time in 2009 for the upcoming South Asian Cup . There he made his debut on December 9, 2009 in the 3-0 defeat in the group game against Nepal . As a result, he developed into a regular player in the national team. Hadid was nominated for the 2013 South Asian Championship , where he played all five games and became South Asian champions after beating India 2-0 in the final . Also at the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup , where Afghanistan was fourth, and at the South Asian Federation Cup in 2015 (2nd place) Hadid participated. In total, he was on the field in 36 games by 2018 and scored one goal.
