The gymnastics and sports club Buchholz from 1908 e. V. , with over 3,600 members, is the second largest sports club in Buchholz in the north of the heath .

history

The club in its current form was created on August 5, 1938 as a merger of the MTV (men's gymnastics club) Buchholz von 1908 e. V. with the Buchholzer Sport Club, which was founded in 1921.

Sports offers

With a wide range of sports ( fitness , soccer , health sports , gymnastics , handball , hockey , inline skating , jazz dance , children - and youth gymnastics , artistic gymnastics , swimming , dancing , tennis , table tennis , volleyball ) mainly standing youth sports in the foreground the sporting offers.

In 2003, the 08 sports center was completed, making it possible to practice many other sports in the club's own rooms. In addition to a large dance hall and a gymnastics room, it also offers showers and changing rooms for the footballers. In addition, there is already a tennis house with five tennis courts and a soccer field on the club's own premises.

Football department

2006 TSV Buchholz rose as champions of division Hammonia first time in the Oberliga Hamburg on. Since the 2006/07 season , the club has been in the top Hamburg amateur class.

The first team in the football department qualified for the semi-finals of the Hamburg Cup in the 2015/16 season . There they were eliminated against Altona 93 . Eintracht Frankfurt's long-time Bundesliga player Alex Meier emerged from the youth department of TSV .

Dance sports department

The dance sport group in the gymnastics and sports club Buchholz from 1908 (TSK in TSV Buchholz from 1908) is the dance sport department of the club. The department offers u. a. Ballroom dancing ( Standard and Latin ), Children dancing , rock 'n' roll , Oriental dance , jazz dance and show dance and has a competitive dance division. By the end of June 2016, the club also had several Latin formations . They switched to Blau-Weiss Buchholz on June 30, 2016 for economic reasons .

The club had several Latin formations until June 2016. The A-team last danced Latin in the 1st Bundesliga.

A-team

The TSK A-Team in TSV Buchholz 08 has competed in league tournaments since the 2005/2006 season. The team initially started in the regional league North Latin and qualified in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 to participate in the promotion tournament to the Oberliga North Latin. The team won the promotion tournament in the 2007/2008 season and was promoted to the Northern Latin league. In the 2008/2009 season he was promoted directly to the North Latin Regionalliga.

In the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons, the A-Team took part in the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga Latin, which it won in 2011/2012 and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the 2012/2013 season he was promoted directly to the 1st Latin Bundesliga with 2nd place in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 1st Bundesliga, the formation with the musical theme "Cello" took 7th place and was relegated back to the 2nd Bundesliga Latin. The team was able to win the 2014/2015 season with the musical theme "The Day of the Battle" and thus managed to return to the 1st Bundesliga.

The coaches of the A-team were Franziska Becker and Nick Dieckmann.

More Latin information

The club recently had three other Latin formations that take part in league competitions.

The B-Team competed in tournaments since the 2006/2007 season, initially in the Northern Latin regional league, and in the Northern Latin upper league since the 2009/2010 season. Since the 2013/2014 season, the team has competed in the Regionalliga North Latin. After the TTH Dorsten withdrew its team from the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2015/2016 season, the team moved up to the vacated starting place as the third place in the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga.

The coaches of the B-team were Christopher Voigt, Marco Welzel and Franziska Becker.

The C-Team competed in tournaments since the 2008/2009 season. It danced in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 in the regional league North Latin and since 2010/2011 in the Oberliga North Latin. The C-Team competed in the North Latin Regionalliga in the 2013/2014 season. Since the 2014/2015 season the team started in the Oberliga North Latin.

The trainers of the C-Team were Sabine Oentrich, Florian Hissnauer and Björn Poll.

The D-Team first appeared in the 2009/2010 season in league competitions in the regional league North Latin. In the 2011/2012 season there was no D-Team for TSK in TSV Buchholz 08. Since the 2012/2013 season, the D-Team of the club danced again in the regional league North Latin.

The D-Team coaches were Florian Köttner, Frederike Frieds and Meike Schumann.

In the 2013/2014 season, the club was also able to set up an E-Team, which, like the D-Team, competed in the Northern Latin Regional League.

The trainers of the E-Team were Florian Köttner and Frederike Frieds.
