Simone Frost

Simone Frost (born April 22, 1958 in East Berlin , † October 14, 2009 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

life and work

Simone Frost was already active as a child actress in the Berliner Ensemble , where she was discovered in the late 1960s by Manfred Karge and Matthias Langhoff for the lead role in their television film Die Gesichte der Simone Machard , based on the work of the same name by Bertolt Brecht . She later completed her acting training at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , while she also took acting lessons from Doris Thalmer . Several years of theater activity followed at the Berliner Ensemble; parallel to this also film and television work for DEFA , but above all for television in the GDR .

Since the 1990s, the artist has been regularly on stage at the Berlin theater 89 and occasionally also appeared in television productions, such as the television series Schloss Einstein .

Simone Frost died of cancer at the age of 51.
