Susann Thiede

Susann Thiede (* 1963 in East Berlin ) is a German actress and theater director .

Life

Born as the daughter of actress Angelika Waller , Susann Thiede studied from 1984 to 1988 at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . After that she was engaged at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin until 1992 , after which she moved to the State Theater Cottbus , of which she is still a member today.

Among other things, Thiede played the title role in Lutz Hübner's play Frau Müller muss weg! She was the Klytaimnestra in Aeschylus ' Orestie , Frau John in Gerhart Hauptmann's Ratten and Toinette in the imaginary patient of Molière . Other pieces with Thiedes participation were Arthur Miller's witch hunt , The Spanish fly by Arnold and Bach or Emilia Galotti by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing . Well-known directors she worked with were Alejandro Quintana , Katja Paryla and Christoph Schroth , among others . Thiede also directs in Cottbus, where she was awarded the Max Grünebaum Prize for special artistic achievements in 2011.

Mainly working as a stage actress, Susann Thiede has stood in front of the camera from time to time in the past and worked as a radio play speaker. Thiede is also the mother of a daughter, Lucie, who has also taken up the profession of grandmother and mother.
