Angelika Waller

Angelika Waller (born October 26, 1944 in Bärwalde in der Neumark ) is a German actress .

Life

From 1963 to 1966 she was trained as an actress in the youth studio of the German television broadcasting company .

Her film debut is also her most famous role, which was only made available to the public in 1989. The 1965 film shot The Rabbit Is Me by Kurt Maetzig came in the GDR on the index . With her second film role in Black Panthers , she became a crowd favorite. In 1969, Angelika Waller played Eva Braun in the Russian epic Liberation . A very popular role was the title heroine in the TV movie Red Fox in 1973 . She also received a lot of attention in the multi-part TV series Johann Sebastian Bach .

Since the 1970s she was first a lecturer and later professor at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . She also worked as a director and staged in Berlin at the Berliner Arbeiter-Theater . Since 2010 she has also been working regularly as a guest lecturer at the Thomas Bernhard Institute for Drama and Directing at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

She also lent her voice as a dubbing actress, including Geneviève Bujold ( Antonius and Cleopatra ) and Linda Purl ( The Last Days of Pompeii ).

In 1978 she received the GDR Art Prize .

Her daughter Susann Thiede (born 1963) is also an actress.
