Renate Görgen (* 1952 in Trier ) is a German radio play and screenwriter .

Life

Görgen studied graphic design in Trier and art education in Berlin . Together with Artur Schrödinger she made the animated film Operation FDGO , which received the 1980 Film Critics Award at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival . This film was also shown in the competition at the Moscow, Bilbao and Krakow Short Film Festivals. As part of the international directing seminars at Künstlerhaus Bethanien , she acquired directing and dramaturgy experience with Krzysztof Kieślowski , Agnieszka Holland , Luc Bondy and Filip Bajon . She then received script funding from Filmbüro NRW for the film project Imago as well as funding from Berlin and Hamburg for the film Die Gunst des Moments .
