Filip Bayon
Filip Bajon (born August 25, 1947 in Poznań ) is a Polish film director , screenwriter and writer .
Life
Filip Bajon attended school in Poznan and after graduating from high school, first studied law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan . While studying, he spent six months in Great Britain from 1967 to 1968 . He completed his studies in 1970 with a master's degree . In the same year he published his first short stories Leżąc przy tej dziurze in the magazine Miesięcznik Literacki . His first novel was published in 1971, which won an award for best debut of the year in 1972. Further publications of short stories and novels followed by the mid-1970s. After that, Bajon concentrated on film work. While still studying law, he enrolled at the Łódź Film School in 1970 to study directing and graduated in 1974. In 1975 he was accepted into the Association of Polish Writers . After working on short films, he made his debut in 1977 with the television film Powrót . He made his cinema debut in 1979 with the film Aria dla atlety . In the 1990s, he directed several television theaters and also directed the Teatr na Piętrze in Poznan, the Stary Teatr in Kraków and the Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw . He has been working with the Silesian University in Katowice since 1999. For his artistic achievements in the field of film, he was awarded his doctorate in 2002 and since 2004 he has been appointed associate professor at the Silesian University. Since February 2015 he has been the director of the Kadr film studio .
Bajon is the scriptwriter of all of his films. He lives in Warsaw.
