Maja Komorowska
Maja Komorowska (born December 23, 1937 in Warsaw ) is a Polish actress .
Maja Komorowska received lessons in puppet theater in the late 1950s at the State Puppet Theater School in Cracow and made her theatrical debut at the Cracow Puppet Theater in 1960. In 1961 she became a member of Jerzy Grotowski's alternative theater group and in 1963 passed an external exam as a stage actress. She stayed in Grotowski's group until 1968 and then moved to the Teatr Współczesny in Warsaw. There she still belongs to the ensemble today, except for a break from 1970 to 1972. In 1970 she brought film director Krzysztof Zanussi to film. Since then she has been working with Zanussi for decades. She made her last film with Zanussi in 2000. Maja Komorowska is one of the most important theater and film actresses in Poland.
