Film studio Kadr

The film studio Kadr (Polish Studio Filmowe Kadr ) is one of the most important film production companies in Poland . It was created in 1955 in socialist Poland. After the March riots in 1968 , the studio was dissolved and re-established in 1972. The Kadr film studio continues to operate as a film production company in Poland even after the political change. The film director Jerzy Kawalerowicz was the founder and artistic director from 1955 until it was dissolved in 1968 . In 1972 Kawalerowicz also reestablished Kadr and was the artistic director until his death. The studio has produced all of Kawalerowicz's films since its inception, but was also responsible for other Polish cinema classics. Long-time chief dramaturge were co-founder and film journalist Krzysztof Teodor Toeplitz and the writer and director Tadeusz Konwicki . Toeplitz held this position in 1955 and then again from 1980 to 1991; Konwicki from 1956 until it was dissolved in 1968.
