Juliusz Machulski (born March 10, 1955 in Olsztyn ) is a Polish film director, screenwriter and film producer.

Life

Machulski was born the son of the well-known Polish actor Jan Machulski . He graduated from the Łódź Film School . He made his first feature film in 1981. His comedies are very popular in Poland and were big box office hits in Poland in the 1990s. Machulski received several awards at the Polish Film Festival Gdynia between 1981 and 2004 . In 1999 he also produced Krzysztof Krauze's thriller Schuld , which was awarded the Polish Film Prize for best cinema production in 2000.

In 1988 he co-founded the independent production company Zebra in Warsaw, for which he still works today and which produced some notable films in the post-reunification period.
