Michał Jan Żebrowski (born June 17, 1972 in Warsaw ) is a Polish actor and general director of the Teatr 6. piętro in Warsaw.

Live and act

Michał Żebrowski received acting lessons at the State Drama School PWST in Warsaw and graduated in 1995. His first engagement then led him to the Warsaw Teatr Powszechny. Since 1997 he has been part of the Teatr Ateneum ensemble. He made his film debut as an acting student in 1993 under the director Feliks Falk . His breakthrough came in 1999, when he starred in the two most expensive Polish productions and became one of Poland's most popular young actors. First he played Jan Skrzetuski in the Sienkiewicz film adaptation of With Fire and Sword , directed by Jerzy Hoffman . He then received the title role in the Adam Mickiewicz film adaptation of Pan Tadeusz , directed by Andrzej Wajda . Both films were Poland's biggest box office hits in the 1990s.

In 2010, together with Eugeniusz Korin, he founded Teatr 6. piętro (English: theater on the 6th floor) in Warsaw, where he still works as general director and actor. For his role as Professor Falkowicz in the series Na dobre i na złe , he was awarded the Telekamery in the category “Best Actor” in 2015, 2016 and 2017. His albums ... Czyta baśnie andersena and Zakochany Pan Tadeusz were honored with a platinum record in Poland .
