Wilfried Steiner (2019)

Wilfried Steiner (born December 18, 1960 in Linz ) is an Austrian writer . He lives in Linz and writes prose , poetry and plays .

Life

Wilfried Steiner studied German , English and American studies at the University of Salzburg . In 1990 he received his doctorate in philosophy with a thesis on the forerunners of literary modernism . Since 1977 he has published literary texts in magazines . From 1987 he was director of the Salzburg literary café , from 1989 to 1999 he was artistic director of the ARGE Nonntal cultural center . In 1993 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . Since 1999 he has been division manager at the Posthof in Linz .

Wilfried Steiner is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly .
