The group awards a literary prize annually , which is endowed with 1500 euros. The prizes are given for submissions on changing topics. In the beginning the topics were formed from the word components of erostepost (eros, rost, step, epos, post, euro, stop and pest). Then a genre was specified to match the letters of the name ("e - like emil and the detectives", "r - like spaceship enterprise" etc.). This second cycle was completed in the 2013 call for applications with the letter “ t - like aunt jolesch: anecdotes and short stories about life - and dying?”. The topic for 2017 was “Beyond good and evil”. In 2018, prizes on the topic of "love now, love now, love wow" were awarded.
