Odile Kennel (* 1967 in Bühl ) is a German-French writer and translator .

life and work

Odile Kennel grew up bilingual. She studied cultural and political science in Tübingen , Berlin and Lisbon and cultural management in Bucharest and Dijon .

In addition to his literary work, which has received numerous awards, Odile Kennel, who has worked in cultural mediation for many years, translates poetry from French, Portuguese and Spanish.

About the volume of poetry published in 2013 or what is the name of this interplanetary air : In a mixture of reflection and amazement, Odile Kennel explores our existence, does not shy away from topics such as love and dying, but also allows pickpockets or meteorologists to come up. Her poems, sometimes narrative, sometimes playful in language, always driven by rhythm and sound, open up a fresh look at our present.
