Franziska Gerstenberg
Franziska Gerstenberg (born January 22, 1979 in Dresden ) is a German writer .
Life
Franziska Gerstenberg's father is the Green politician Karl-Heinz Gerstenberg .
After graduating from high school, she studied prose, poetry and drama / new media at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig from 1998 to 2002 and was co-editor of the literary magazine EDIT for two years . She received u. a. the residence scholarship in the Villa Concordia in Bamberg (2005) and the Heinrich Heine scholarship in 2007. In March 2004 her first book was published, the short story book Wie viel Vögel . Her debut was preceded by minor publications in various magazines and in some anthologies . Her second book was published in spring 2007 under the title Such Gifts and contains 14 stories. In 2012 Gerstenberg's first novel was published with the title Spiel mit ihr, in 2016 the short story volume So long ago, certainly no longer true .
Gerstenberg lives in Dresden.

- 2004: Residency at the Literary Colloquium Berlin
- In 2004 she received the Nicolas Born Prize of the State of Lower Saxony for her debut .
- 2005/06: one-year residency at Villa Concordia in Bamberg
- Such gifts were awarded the Hermann Hesse Prize in 2007 .
- 2007 Scholarship from the Heinrich Heine House of the City of Lüneburg
- 2008 residency at Casa Baldi in Olevano Romano
- 2010/11 scholarship from Akademie Schloss Solitude
- 2010: Residence grant from József Attila Kör in Budapest
- 2013: Promotion Prize of the Lessing Prize
- 2016: Saxon Literature Prize for So long ago, certainly no longer true
