The Polish-Lithuanian coalition troops have penetrated as far as Moscow and rule the occupied territories with an iron hand. Poles and other Catholics invade the area. They want to install the Russian princess Xenia Godunova as tsarina, whose family was killed years earlier and who is being held captive by them after being kidnapped by a hetman ; the serf Andrei takes his place after the death of the Spanish mercenary Álvar in order to free the Russian princess he loves with the help of the Tatar Kostka. The conflicts lead to a great battle at the gates of Moscow.

criticism

“Patriotic film produced with state funds, prepared with a lot of battle and the very realistic staging of the war events from the rise of the Romanov dynasty. The prestige product does not exaggerate the eventful, slightly confusing plot with mystical sprinkles too convincingly. "

DVDtalk judges: “This historical action film is too serious, unexciting failure. The story is told with too many modern antics. "
