Alexander Nikolajewitsch Balujew ( Russian Александр Николаевич Балуев ; born December 6, 1958 in Moscow ) is a Soviet and Russian actor .
Life
Alexander Balujew was born on December 6, 1958 in the Russian capital Moscow. In 1980 he successfully completed his acting studies and has since worked in several Moscow theaters. In 1992 he starred in the Russian film Prorwa - a Russian-German-French co-production with Ute Lemper in the lead role. In the US film Projekt: Peacemaker (1997) Baluyev played General Kodoroff, the opponent of Lt. Col. Devoe (played by George Clooney ). In another US film, Deep Impact , Baluyev played a Russian cosmonaut.
In 2007 he played one of the leading roles in the film The Banishment alongside Maria Bonnevie .
Private
From 2003 to 2013 Baluyev was married to the Polish Maria Urbanovskaya. From this marriage he has a daughter, Maria-Anna (* 2003).
