Ralf Krämer (politician)

Ralf Krämer (* 1960 in Dortmund ) is a German trade unionist and politician ( Die Linke ).

Life

Krämer joined the SPD in 1976 . From 1988 to 1993 he was state chairman of the Jusos in North Rhine-Westphalia , from 1991 to 1996 he was a member of the state board of the North Rhine-Westphalian SPD. He was also editor-in-chief of Spw - magazine for socialist politics and economics . In 1999 he left the SPD.

Since 2002 he has been a secretary to the ver.di federal executive board, where he is an expert on economic policy . In 2006 he became a member of the federal executive committee of the WASG , of which he was one of the intellectual authors and founders in 2004 and whose founding he played a key role. At the constituent congress of the party “Die Linke” in June 2007 he was elected to the party executive committee, but at the 1st congress in May 2008 he was not re-elected. He was a member of the program commission and the editorial commission for the basic program of the party DIE LINKE, which was decided on October 23, 2011 in Erfurt.

Krämer was one of the supporters of the merging of the Left Party.PDS and WASG. In the 2005 Bundestag elections , he ran on the PDS's Berlin state list as a guest and representative of the WASG for the 16th German Bundestag . Krämer belongs to the group of speakers of the socialist left movement. On 29 May 2016 he was back in the party executive voted the Left.
