Miesięcznik Literacki

Miesięcznik Literacki (Polish for: literary monthly ) was a Polish literary magazine that appeared from 1929 to 1931 in Warsaw and was edited by Aleksander Wat . It was an unofficial organ of the Communist Party of Poland and promoted the development of a proletarian literature. Among the authors were Władysław Broniewski , Henryk Drzewiecki , Jan Hempel , Leopold Lewin , Stefan Rudniański , Leon Schiller , Stanislaw Ryszard able , Andrzej Stawar , Juliusz Wit , Andrzej Wolica and Stanislaw Wygodzki .

In 1931 the journal was banned by the Piłsudski government censorship and part of the editorial team was arrested.
