Niklas Kohrt (born March 21, 1980 in Luckenwalde ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Niklas Kohrt spent his childhood and youth in Berlin . In 1999 he passed his Abitur at the Karl-Schiller-Oberschule and then began his one-year community service in a hospital.

His uncle was the journalist Wolfgang Kohrt . The actor Alexander Fehling is his cousin.

In October 2000 he began to study culture, politics and theater studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After two years he broke off his studies in order to study at the renowned academy for drama "Ernst Busch" Berlin . While still studying acting (2002–2006) he was engaged in 2004 for the role of Keith in Lars Norén's play Kälte , which was performed at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin . Since the 2005/2006 season, Niklas Kohrt has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater and has since worked on several plays. In the cinema he played in a few films (e.g. Muxmäuschenstill , Knallhart ).

In 2008 he received the Alfred Kerr Acting Award of the Berlin Theatertreffen for his performance in Gerhart Hauptmann's Die Ratten for the performance of Bruno Mechelke . A little later, he was voted best young actor for the same role by the jury of the magazine Theater heute .

From 2009 to 2011 Niklas Kohrt was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zürich . As a guest actor he continues to work in individual productions at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

At the beginning of the 2013/2014 season he switched to the Schauspiel Köln and played there until 2018. Since 2018 he has had several guest appearances at the Berliner Ensemble and Theater am Kurfürstendamm .
