Alexander Fehling
Alexander Fehling (born March 29, 1981 in East Berlin ) is a German actor .
Life
Alexander Fehling was born in 1981 as the son of journalist Wolfgang Kohrt in Berlin-Lichtenberg . His cousin Niklas Kohrt is also an actor.
From 2003 to 2007 he studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . Since then he has worked on several theater plays and attracted attention with his first film roles. In 2007 he received the German Film Award in the Acting category for the leading role of Sven in the film At the End Tourists Come . Previously, he had already received the OE Hasse Prize of the Academy of the Arts (sponsorship prize for young actors). In the 2010 movie Goethe! he played the title role as the young Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, which earned him a nomination for the German Film Prize. Fehling was recognized as one of the shooting stars of European film during the Berlinale 2011 . There also was Andres Veiel feature film If Not Us, with Fehling in the role of Andreas Baader in competition. In June 2015 he was hired for a leading role in the fifth season of the American television series Homeland alongside Claire Danes .
Fehling lives in Berlin-Friedrichshain and was Nora Tschirner's partner from 2007 to 2011 . After that he was in a relationship with Peri Baumeister until 2015 .
