Philipp Leinemann
Philipp Leinemann (* 1979 in Braunschweig ) is a German film director and screenwriter .
Life
Philipp Leinemann began his directing studies in 2004 in Department III (film and television acting) at the University of Television and Film Munich . His graduation film Transit was awarded the production prize at the 2010 Munich Film Festival . During his film studies, he made several short films as well as several commercials and image films.
His debut film We Were Kings was highly praised by the press and also premiered at the Munich Film Festival in 2014 and was shown in cinemas in 2014. He began working on the script at the beginning of his directing studies. In 2017 there was another collaboration with Ronald Zehrfeld in the lead role of a BND agent for the political thriller The End of Truth . Other roles include: a. Alexander Fehling, Claudia Michelsen, Axel Prahl, Thomas Thieme and Antje Traue. With the latter he also worked on the miniseries Temple .
Philipp Leinemann lives in Munich and Berlin.
