action
Martin Behrens works as an expert for Central Asia at the German Federal Intelligence Service . He passed on information that led to an American drone attack on a terrorist wanted in Zahiristan. A few days later, there is a brutal attack on a Munich restaurant, in which Aurice, a freelance journalist with whom he secretly had a love affair, is among the dead.
Joachim Rauhweiler introduces Lemke to employees of Global Logistics and praises them. Although on leave from his boss, Behrens does research and repeatedly comes across activities from Global Logistics. Via a planespotter , he finds out that the terrorists involved in the attack were flown in and out of the plane in a company aircraft.
After Behrens told the head of the authority Dr. Grünhagen has confronted him with his findings, he asks him to discuss further details with him on a business trip to Afghanistan. This journey continues with an armed convoy of four - wheel drive vehicles . However, this gets into an ambush in which Grünhagen's car explodes. In the shooting that followed, everyone except Behrens was killed.
Back in Germany, not Rauhweiler but Aline Schilling was appointed Grünhagen's successor. Behrens has now found a memory stick on which there is a video that shows Rauhweiler in a confidential conversation with Global Logistics employees.

Reviews
“In the meantime, one could set up a German chronology of failure in the thriller genre, from Dominik Graf's ' Die Sieger ' to Tom Tykwer's ' The International ' and Christoph Hochhäusler's ' Die Lügen der Sieger ' to Philipp Leinemann's film. Sometimes it was the money, sometimes the script, but the real reason behind the many defeats is the lack of a traditional craftsmanship in high-class crime novels in Germany. The ' crime scene ' is not a master school after all. "
"The complex political thriller creates a difficult-to-understand mixture of economic interests, geopolitical strategies, power calculation and corruptibility as a mirror of the dissonant present, but for the finale it chooses a forgiving, petty-bourgeois variant in which private vengeance serves as a means of pressure for a better world."
“The director dares to argue that the real enemy is lurking within. "The End of Truth" is unusual genre cinema from Germany. The movie is best where it just shows explosions, shootings and assassinations. Cool, clear and unsentimental. And especially in this very plausible. "
