Then Längle became a professional soldier in Pioneer Battalion 2 and in 2004 moved to Jäger Battalion 23 in the Walgau barracks in Bludesch . From 2001 to 2002 he was stationed in Kosovo , among others . Also during his time as a professional soldier, he was involved in several flood disaster operations in Salzburg, Upper Austria and Vorarlberg, as well as several times in border guards. Most recently he was trained as a staff sergeant at the Army Sergeant's Academy in Enns in 2006 . 2010 Längle left the army after being in the same year on the Berufsreifeprüfung the Matura had acquired. He also began studying in 2010. From autumn 2013 to summer 2014, Längle served again for around a year as a staff sergeant in Jägerbataillon 23. He completed his bachelor's degree in history at the University of Innsbruck in 2018. He is currently studying to be a teacher in Catholic theology and history.

Political career

Längle held his first political mandate after the municipal council elections in 2010 as a member of the municipal council of Götzis. After the municipal council elections in 2015 , Christoph Längle was also elected by the Götzner municipal council as a council member on the council . As such he was chairman of the sports committee of the market town Götzis.

In October 2014, after the 2014 state elections , Längle was sent to Vienna as a member of the Federal Council by the Vorarlberg state parliament at the suggestion of the FPÖ, where he replaced his party colleague Cornelia Michalke who had moved to the state parliament .

On April 22, 2019, Christoph Längle left the party together with the entire FPÖ community representative group in Götzis. The reason for this was a conflict with FPÖ Vorarlberg state chairman Christof Bitschi over the ranking of the state list for the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 , because of political content and differences over the leadership style of the state group. Längle and the other mandataries of the FPÖ community representative group therefore exercised their community and federal mandates as non-party mandataries until the end of the respective legislative periods . In the 2020 municipal council and mayoral elections , Christoph Längle will be the top candidate and candidate for the office of mayor on the newly established list of “Citizens Movement Götzis” (also against his former party, FPÖ Götzis).
