action

Former CIA - Agent Ben Logan leads now with his daughter Amy a quiet life in Belgium and works in a business enterprise for security technology in Antwerp . His wife died some time ago - father and daughter have a difficult relationship. One morning Logan's office is completely deserted. There are no employees or even a trace of any work there. Some time later, his colleague Floyd comes to him, but he doesn't explain the situation to him, but kidnaps him and his daughter. After a car accident, Ben strangles Floyd and escapes with his daughter.

In a hospital, the two found all former employees dead in the morgue, except for one. He finds the two in the hospital and tries to murder them. Ben can defeat him in battle and shoot him. Logan and his daughter are now also wanted by the police. With the help of Amy's friend Nabil and his family, Ben and Amy are able to flee Antwerp to Brussels . There they go into hiding in a ghetto that is mostly inhabited by Arab immigrants. But a killer is set on their trail, who murders several members of Nabil's family and soon discovers the hiding place.

On another level of the event, the CIA agent and ex-lover of Ben, Anna Brandt, is looking for secret information about the arms smuggler Halgate. She had introduced Ben in a subsidiary of Halgate, the only one, however bogus company is cooperating with the CIA. When arms smuggling threatened to be discovered, this front company was shut down by the CIA. Brandt goes in search of Ben and Amy in Brussels.

After an argument, Ben and Amy split up. Amy is kidnapped by Halgate's killer and is about to be exchanged for the secret documents in Ben's possession. Ben prepares the documents with a bomb. Halgate and Ben agree that Halgate will release Ben's daughter and receive the documents. At the handover, Amy is freed and Ben hands the suitcase to Halgate. However, Halgate secretly tells his lawyer that after a week he will also get rid of Amy and her grandfather. When the bomb goes off, it kills Halgate and his henchmen. Ben survives and is able to escape. Father and daughter meet again at the airport.

criticism

The film failed the US critics. The Rotten Tomatoes site counted only 11 generally positive ratings out of a total of 42 reviews, which corresponds to a share of 26 percent. In summary, the verdict of the critics is:

"Derivative to a fault, 'Erased' squanders some nifty potential and its talented cast in a bland retelling of a story action fans have seen too many times before."

“Unoriginal to the point. 'The Logan Conspiracy' wastes its beautiful potential and talented cast on the bland retelling of a story action fans have seen far too many times. "

The lexicon of international films judged that the film developed “its plot rich in finesse” and was “thrillingly staged”. With his "exciting father-daughter constellation" he succeeds in creating an "emotional [e]" primer.
