Peri Baumeister (* 1986 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Baumeister is the daughter of the actor Edwin Noël-Baumeister and the cultural manager Judith Schäfer-Schuller. Her older half-sister Muriel Baumeister is also an actress. From 2007 to 2011 Peri Baumeister studied acting at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich. During this time she was still on stage in stage productions by Lars von Triers Dogville and Manderlay under the direction of Jochen Schölch at the Munich Metropol Theater . In her third year of study she got the main role of Grete Trakl in the movie Tabu - It is the soul is a stranger on earth at the side of Lars Eidinger . For this cinema debut, she was honored as the best young actress at the Max Ophüls Film Festival in 2012. Then Baumeister had a leading role in Oliver Ziegenbalg's bestseller film Russian Disco . For her role in the social drama Männertreu , directed by Hermine Huntgeburth , she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Award of the German Academy for Television . She played the wife of the physicist Werner Heisenberg in the Norwegian six-part TV series Saboteurs im Eis - Operation Schweres Wasser (Kampen om tungtvannet) about Hitler's attempts to develop an atomic bomb .
