Half brothers
Halbe Brüder is a German comedy film by Christian Alvart from 2015. The German rapper Sido plays the leading role in the road movie together with Tedros Teclebrhan and Fahri Yardım . It opened in theaters on April 9, 2015.

Julian Lindemann makes his way through life as a con artist. When he succeeds in a great coup, he puts the money for his three children in the bank, whereby this is blocked for himself. He's finally happy to get his life right.
At a notary he is informed that he has two brothers, which at first does not matter to him. These are the young black gangsta rapper Ademola 'Addi' Tomo, whose girlfriend is currently expecting a child, and the kidney-suffering offspring of the factory Yasin Philip Blöckers of Turkish origin. The three learn that their recently deceased mother was a nun who nonetheless led a lustful life and therefore had three children from different fathers from different ethnic groups . The three sons are promised a great fortune, which prompts them to get to the bottom of their origins. The only clue is a postcard with an address and a young woman next to a lighthouse. Julian initially refuses the search, but when a debt collection thug in rabbit costume awaits him at home , he takes him to the notorious “Lemmele U-Bahn”. He asks him to return the 120,000 euros that he stole at the beginning, which corresponds exactly to the sum that they should inherit together. So Julian inevitably starts a trip together with his two half-brothers.
The first stop takes the three to Frankfurt am Main . There Addi first has to deliver a drug package, which leads to a chase by the police and the man in the rabbit costume.
After they have been able to take them off, they come to the house of Mr. Zequera, Addi's father. This turns out to be Roberto Blanco , who is throwing a farewell party because he is broke. When asked by the three of them, he asks himself ignorant of who Addis mother would be, but accepts him as his son. The three are allowed to spend the night in Blancos house. Before that, Yasin gets to know the runaway Jenny. During the night the three of them decide to ask Roberto a little closer. One after the other, they pull off the hair on his chest with adhesive tape and thus learn more about his mother. He got to know her in a club in Cologne. The three of them make their way to Cologne, but are recognized in a rest stop on the way due to a wanted message on television . Then they want to torch their car in a quarry and burn all their belongings by carelessness.
They go completely broke in the said club and meet Yasin's father there, who turns out to be a mud catcher in a gay club. He too initially pretends to be ignorant until Yasin can defeat him in the mud fight. He admits to having had something with a woman once. From this connection Yasin emerged. He can only help them a little, but at least tell them that the woman on the postcard is their mother. A lighthouse can be seen in the background. So they interview an old sailor in a pub. He sends them to Fehmarn . First they try to raise money by performing Addis on the cathedral plate , but the sum is not enough. Finally, Jenny helps them. During the night in the hotel, she and Yasin find each other.
When they arrive on Fehmarn, they meet Julian's uncle, who explains their mother's hippie past. Julian does not get to know his father personally because he is already dead. However, his uncle shows him a film from a music festival on Fehmarn, where his father and mother can be seen together as hippies at a young age. They finally find the treasure under a monument to Jimi Hendrix . It is a box full of five Deutsche Mark coins that Julian recognizes as a special issue. However, the other two consider the coins to be almost worthless. He decides to rip off his brothers and quickly exchanges the money, but misses the last train to the mainland. All three spend the night with his uncle. When his brothers reveal to him that they have decided to help him out, he no longer has the heart to cheat on them. He returns to U-Bahn-Lemmle with no money. But his brothers finally save him and give the sum to U-Bahn-Lemmle. Not rich, but at least united as a family, the three now decide to get their lives together.

Halbe Brüder is a joint production by ConradFilm , Bavaria Pictures and Syrreal Entertainment distributed by Universal Pictures . The shooting took place from May 19, 2014 at the original locations in Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin and on the island of Fehmarn. It was released on March 19, 2015. The film was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 29, 2015.

The road movie received mostly bad reviews. Supported by numerous guest appearances by Roberto Blanco, Ralf Richter , Anna Ewelina , Detlev Buck and Lilo Wanders , the film cannot hide the fact that the film is a "loose sequence of episodes in the tradition of the super nose series "Acts and" hardly any bad taste is left out ". The epd film states that the plot of the film "exhausts itself (...) in a series of sometimes more, sometimes less amusing episodes that are so laboriously wired that you can almost hear the" oh, it doesn't matter "of the scriptwriters." The film's misogyny was particularly bad for them. Women are mere “story crutches” in the film. The filmmakers affirm “not only the reactionary whore-saint scheme - here modernized as a hippie-whore-saint fictional figure - but use it as the lowest common denominator and means of integration. A pretty sinister solution. ”Other reviews were similar:

Josef Engels from Hamburger Abendblatt and Der Welt, on the other hand, praised the film. Although he also saw weaknesses, especially due to the sometimes infantile humor, he especially praised Sido's portrayal.
