occupation

Bounty is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The television production commissioned by Norddeutscher Rundfunk was first broadcast on March 9, 2014 on ARD's first program. The premiere took place on March 5, 2014 in Hamburg. It is the second case of the investigative duo Nick Tschiller ( Til Schweiger ) and Yalcin Gümer ( Fahri Yardım ).

action

When Nick Tschiller wants to drive his ex-wife to the airport, he notices a bomb under his driver's seat. With the help of his colleague Yalcin Gümer, he tries to defuse the explosive device by remote diagnosis, but does not succeed. He can only get out of the car in a hurry with his presence of mind, so that it explodes without occupants. In order to protect Tschiller from further attacks, the LKA has the press announce his death. Against all efforts, Tschiller shows himself to the clan boss Firat Astan, only to provoke him. He realizes that only he could have put a bounty on him, because although Firat and his brother Ismal are in prison, their criminal business continues in the background, and Tschiller is on their trail. This time the Kurdish Astan clan is not threatening to usurp power with human trafficking, but with a gigantic drug deal. Tschiller learns of a delivery of crystal meth expected shortly , which he must prevent at all costs.

Tschiller gets Enno Kromer, a bitter drug specialist from the LKA, to help. For years he has been trying in vain to dry up the Hamburg drug swamp, which has been ruled by Aykut Bürsüm up to now. A bitter gang war is to be feared with the request of the Astan clan. Kromer thinks it is very likely that such a large shipment of drugs will be smuggled into the country via the port of Hamburg . But Kromer is very pessimistic, since he has been trying in vain for twenty years to get more support from the judiciary. It looks like he's working with Firat Astan, because he tells him that Tschiller knows about his drug business and even has an informant in prison.

Although Tschiller has no information about the arrival time of the drug delivery, he goes to Aykut Bürsüm, accompanied by his colleague Yalcin Gümer. But instead of meeting the drug lord in his club, he meets his daughter there, whom he tries to explain that she has no business in this "drug store". Suddenly three armed men storm into the nightclub and fire submachine guns at random into the crowd. Tschiller only escapes the slaughter with luck, in which three active employees of Aykut Bürsüm die, among others. For Kromer it is clear that the neighborhood war has now begun, and Gümer has the impression that his colleague is even enjoying it.

Public prosecutor Hanna Lennertz is attacked and badly beaten in her apartment. Since Tschiller has started an affair with her, he considers it possible that this action was aimed at him. He furiously tries to find out who did the job. Through his informant, the kickboxer Idris Ervan, he finds the culprit: Rahid Astan. After he was arrested, however, Astan's lawyer managed to get him released the same day.

To do this, Tschiller's employees manage to find out the number of the container in which Astan's drugs are presumably stored. It is noticeable that this container has been waiting in the port for a week. For the drug expert Kromer, however, to explain that the Astan clan first had to turn off Bürsüm's people in order to be able to take over the goods undisturbed. Because in the meantime three other members of the Bürsüm clan have been murdered and the top management has disappeared without a trace, which could mean that these people have already been eliminated. Before they can take care of the drug deal, Tschiller is in danger. He wants to hold Rahid Astan accountable for personal reasons and is seriously injured. Gümer comes to his aid and can take him to the hospital. Although he is guarded by two police officers and his colleague Ines Kallwey, Rahid Astan manages to get to him because he has instructions from his boss, Firat Astan, to kill Tschiller at all costs. He turns unconscious and with the help of Kallwey can escape his attackers and flee the clinic.

Meanwhile, the police are running to stop the gangsters picking up the drugs in the port. Contrary to expectations, everything stays calm. After the day began, Gümer and Kromer decide to look in the container because they may have fallen for a ruse. That should be true, because in the container are the bodies of six members of the upper management level of the Bürsüm clan, but Aykut Bürsüm himself is not among the dead.

In Gümer and Kallwey there is a suspicion that they have a mole in their ranks, and that can only be their colleague Kromer. When Gümer tries to confront him, he disappears into the container jungle of the port area. Nevertheless, his reference to a different delivery location seems justified, because Tschiller, who despite his injuries goes on the hunt for his adversary Rahid Astan, is also there. He comes in while sacks of drugs are being reloaded. Unnoticed, he can pour out antifreeze and set everything on fire. He watches Rahid Astan burn alive.

Meanwhile, Gümer picks up the trail of Kromer and watches him select and open a certain container. There is Aykut Bürsüm, tied up, and a suitcase with cash. Gümer follows Kromer and realizes that he has worked with all means just to finally bring down the Bürsüm boss. Bürsüm warns Kromer because he has now not only sold him to Astan, but the whole city. But Kromer sees himself at the goal of his efforts and shoots himself together with his adversary.

Reviews

“The“ Tatort ”commissioner as an unconvincing mixture of Bruce Willis and Ronald Schill has done his job. In a predictable plot, full of simple black and white thinking. "

- Benedikt Frank : Munich evening newspaper

“Prisoners are not made in the second“ crime scene ”with Til Schweiger. Christian Alvart's “Kopfgeld” is a man's film who would like to be an asphalt western. But he is dramatically too weak on the chest for that. Pithy macho warriors blow urban revenge campaigns, prophecies and provocations fuel the actions, failures and traitors populate the scene - and above all an angry savior of action: the game is that simple! Dark look, blasts, bloodbaths, pithy faces with a migration background ... Does anyone find that exciting? Is there anyone emotionally involved? Or is that "unfortunately awesome"? "

- Rainer Tittelbach : Tittelbach.tv

“The fact that an extremely strong Turkish character is now being established in the 'Tatort' with Germany's most popular cinema star is a good move by those in charge of the NDR. And shows, to be fair, the size of Schweiger, who gives his less famous actor friend Yardim the stronger appearances. "

Mike Powelz from the program magazine Hörzu asked himself whether Schweiger could outdo himself with his second case and whether the new mission was “just as spectacular” as his first case and came to the conclusion that this thriller was only missing one thing: “the theme tune from ' Play me the song of death ', as the new case is reminiscent of classic westerns. ”Powelz came to the overall rating“ Success ”. He gave one of three possible points for humor, two for suspense and eroticism and three for action. In summary, the rating read as follows:

“In the beginning hot love scenes. As an increase, spectacular action. And the climax is a murderous finale, in which almost all protagonists are about life and death. Yes, Schweiger's second case overshadows the first dramaturgically. A must for all 'Tatort' fans. "

- Mike Powelz : Listen

R. Ahrem from the program magazine Gong made three crosses when there was tension and spoke of a "fast-paced thriller that could come up with many surprises". The film also received three crosses for its “lavish action scenes, which were captured by unusual tracking shots, often from the air”. The suspicion was expressed that the new case "stretched the budget of the series again to the extreme". There were two crosses for humor because Fahri Yardim, who is responsible for the jokes on the investigative team, takes a back seat in this episode. There were also two crosses for draft and the rating:

“The fearless cop Nick Tschiller has only one fear: that something might happen to his beloved daughter Lenny. Given the police helplessness in the face of organized crime, that concern has only grown after the new episode. [...] The second Schweiger 'crime scene' also manages to inspire again. "

- R. Ahrem : Gong

“'Kopfgeld', the second episode with Til Schweiger as LKA man Nick Tschiller, is a film for men, not least for those who got stuck in puberty. ... At the end of a wild ride, not much remains from this episode, which dispenses with subtleties and thereby makes itself smaller than it should be. That is of course the program. "

“Somehow all kinds of people hunt, abuse and kill each other for 90 minutes. In the meantime, it is easy to lose sight of who is assassinating whom. The TATORT version with Til Schweiger wanted to offer action, and now it offers action. (And by the way, we are finally in the age after the "Shades of Gray", solid handcuff sex with a silent bottom view.) "
