occupation

Willkommen in Hamburg is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The television production commissioned by Norddeutscher Rundfunk was first broadcast on March 10, 2013 on ARD's first program. The premiere took place on March 7, 2013 in Hamburg . It is the first case of the investigative duo Nick Tschiller and Yalcin Gümer ( Til Schweiger and Fahri Yardım ).

action

The Detective Inspector Nick sealed Iller, a former undercover officer in Hesse state police , draws because of his 15-year-old daughter to Hamburg. When the former SEK man and his new colleague Yalcin Gümer went out for the first time during an apartment check, Tschiller shot three people who were suspected of forcing underage girls into prostitution. Several women and girls, including 16-year-old Romanian Tereza, can be freed. Gümmer suffers a bullet in the right leg. At the scene, Tschiller meets his former LKA partner Max Brenner, whom he believes is an undercover agent and lets escape. After learning that Brenner no longer works for the LKA and has been in hiding for two years, Tschiller continues to investigate. Contrary to the instructions of his superior, who was concerned about the " Kiezfrieden ", he placed the important witness Tereza in Gümers apartment. Because a chip with a transmitter was implanted in her arm, the pimps can locate the girl. With her 12-year-old sister still in their hands, the gang forced Tereza to give them information about police work. Actually unable to work, Gümer continues to work from the hospital with the help of his netbook and can support Tschiller with relevant information. Tereza shoots a gang member with a police pistol in Gümer's apartment who was supposed to kill her as a witness. She cuts the chip out of her arm that Tschiller finds there. Tschiller and Gümer can use neighboring chip numbers to find the whereabouts of other forced prostitutes. They succeed in freeing the girls, including Tereza's sister, and arresting Brenner, a member of the girl trafficking ring.

background

There were no official statements about the size of the budget. Before filming began, the picture wrote of production costs of up to 2 million euros and the most expensive crime scene episode to date. After completion of the film, the figure was 1.6 million euros, which also exceeds the average crime scene budget of 1.3 to 1.5 million euros.

Schweiger's role name was originally supposed to be Nick Tschauder, but was changed at Schweiger's request shortly before filming began.

Internationally, the film is marketed under the title Nick's Law and without the crime scene opening credits. Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing reported sales to Russia and other CIS countries from the MIPTV 2013 TV program fair in Cannes .

Reviews

Carolin Gasteiger relates her criticism for the Süddeutsche Zeitung to the striking cast list "with old friends of Schweiger" and there in particular to that of Til Schweiger's daughter Luna Schweiger as a daughter in the film, which Gasteiger sees as a blatant miscast:

“Unfortunately, you hardly notice Luna's acting talent in the first episode. The unexcited facial expression of the 16-year-old hardly changes and she can hardly open her mouth while speaking. So father and daughter mumble together in 'Welcome to Hamburg'. "
