Police chief inspector

Police chief commissioner ( PHK ) or police chief commissioner ( PHKin ) is an official designation for law enforcement officers in the German police in the higher service (depending on the federal state, other designations have been introduced, e.g. qualification level 3). At the criminal police , the corresponding official designation is Kriminalhauptkommissar ( KHK ) or Kriminalhauptkommissarin ( KHKin ).

Police chief inspectors are assigned to the salary groups (BesGr) A 11 or A 12. The promotion to Chief Inspector A 11 is the second promotion office in the career of the senior police enforcement service. Chief Inspectors A 12 are not appointed, but merely assigned to a post by order .
