Erich Krieg (born June 8, 1951 in Iserlohn ) is a German actor .
Life
Education and theater
Krieg completed his acting training at the Max Reinhardt School (today: University of the Arts ) in Berlin. In 1974 he completed his training there with an acting diploma. This was followed by theater engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (1976–1977), the Stadttheater Oberhausen (1986–1987), the State Theater Braunschweig (season 1987/88 and season 1991/92) and at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg (1994–1996). From 2002 to 2005 he played in several pieces at the Neue Komödie in the Boulevard Münster.
Krieg has also made guest appearances at the Tribüne Berlin , at the Stadttheater Gießen , at the Theater Heilbronn (1983), at the Staatstheater Darmstadt (1987/88 season), at the Little Comedy Hamburg, at the Theater im Zimmer Hamburg , at the Comedy Dresden (1996; in Zwei unsuspecting angels by Erich Ebermayer , with Helga Göring , Ingeborg Krabbe and Herbert Köfer as partners), at the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus (1997), at the Kampnagelfabrik Hamburg (1999) and in 1995 at the Bad Hersfeld Festival . In 1989 he also played in a touring theater production of the Erich Kuhnen Theater Produktionen Berlin under the direction of Hans-Joachim Heyse in Julius Caesar .
In the course of his career he played a. a. the following roles: Andri in Andorra , Jimmy in Looking Back in Anger , Mandelstam in Die Hose , Duke of Cornwall in King Lear , Frank in Mrs. Warren's trade of George Bernard Shaw , Yang-Sun in The Good Man of Sezuan , Pylades in Iphigenie Tauris (Theater Heilbronn 1983; director: Franz Winter), St. Just in Dantons Tod , Läuffer in Der Hofmeister , Rotpeter in a report for an academy , Oswald in Ghosts , Junker Bleichenwang in Was ihr wollt and Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew (1992; Tour theater production of the theater guest performances Kempf, Margrit Kempf). In the 1991/92 season he was an “excellent cast” Fedja in the musical Anatevka at the Braunschweig State Theater (production: Irene Mann ).
He appeared in productions by Henri Hohenemser , Jens Pesel , Johannes Kaetzler , Götz Burger , Abdul-Majid Kunze , Klaus Wagner, Franz Winter and Volker Lechtenbrink ( The Taming of the Shrew ).
Movie and TV
Since the early 1990s, Krieg also worked for film and television. He mainly took on larger supporting roles in the respective productions.
At the scene of the crime: exile! (2001) he played the captain Volker Walden, who is suspected of having intentionally caused the shipwreck. In the television film Das Kommando (2004) he played Brigadier General von der Leue. in the television film Der Bernsteinfischer (2005) he took on the supporting role of Horst Schneider. In the movie The Blue Border (2005) he played the father Letter, the father of the main male character Momme Bief ( Antoine Monot, Jr. ). In 2008 he was directed by Heinrich Breloer in his Buddenbrooks film adaptation; he played the senate speaker. In the crime thriller Under Other Circumstances: Death in the Monastery (first broadcast: November 2010), War had a supporting role as chief accountant Blümke. In the Dutch feature film Süskind (2011), a biopic about Walter Süskind , Krieg played the role of SS-Sturmbannführer Willy Lages. In the crime scene: Willkommen in Hamburg (first broadcast: March 2013), the first case of the investigative duo Nick Tschiller ( Til Schweiger ) and Yalcin Gümer ( Fahri Yardım ), he played the bank manager and client Mossbach. In the crime scene: Mord auf Langeoog (first broadcast: November 2013) it was Sibo Lücken, a criminal convicted of murder who is again under suspicion.
In 2011 he had a recurring supporting role in the ARD series Verbotene Liebe . He played the stud owner Walter Wittkamp, the father of the serial character Tanja von Lahnstein ( Miriam Lahnstein ). In 2014 he took on a recurring supporting role in the ARD series Ein Fall von Liebe ; he played the character of Dr. Renscheidt. In 2015 he was seen in the ARD series Rote Rosen in the episodes 1976–1985 in a supporting role, he played the now homeless former hotel director Sylvester Ricklefsen, a friend of the series character Gunter Flickenschild.
War also had episode roles u. a. in the series St. Angela (2001; as Schulrat Kerpen), Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei (2007; as police officer Klaus Möller), SOKO Wismar (2007; as Hubert Grünberg, former manager of a pop star), Hallo Robbie! (2009; as boat shop owner Hannes Holbe), cheerful to fatal: Henker & Richter (2011; as Josef Spangenberg, the homophobic president of a shooting club), cheerful to fatal: Morden im Norden (2012; as school director Frank Dittberner) and Großstadtrevier (2013; as Mirko Wansleben, managing director of the Modellbahnparadieses).
In October 2015, Krieg was seen in a leading role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar . He played Gero Tatzel, the former coach of a murdered ex-professional footballer . In March 2018, Krieg was seen in a leading role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne ; He played Prof. Siegfried Hagens, who was in love with his wealthy neighbor and who killed a burglar in self-defense.
War lives in Hamburg.
