Events are coming to a head; Stresemann's husband runs away with their work colleague and friend. Ms. Stresemann learns that the Dells are not the supposed lottery winners and in her anger destroys the inventory of her own home. Reviews

“Tension, trespassing, murder - in the Arango crime novels these form a series. The great thing is that the monstrous border crossing from peeping tom to home invasion is told so gently, lively and cheerfully that the amoral behavior of the characters does not seem at all reprehensible. We see the world through their eyes, their sick logic temporarily becomes ours. "
