Klaus Borowski investigates the death of a man who a few years ago was the key figure in a corruption scandal in the Kiel building authorities. Half a year ago, Oliver Teuber left his wife and daughter in Kiel and found shelter with the single Famke Oejen on the North Sea island of Suunholt. When Oejen returns to her beach house early in the morning after a swim in the sea, she finds Teuber dead in her bathtub. Borowski travels to Suunholt and starts the investigation with the local policewoman Schütz.

Farmer Iversen, for whom Teuber worked, and the local baker, Torbrink, for whom Oejen works, appear suspicious. Both extorted Teuber because of the bribe he received for the building permit for the Passions Palace brothel in Kiel . There they met a prostitute whom Iversen fell in love with and who they wanted to buy free with Teuber's money. Two men from Kiel's red-light district are also on the island because they suspect the 300,000 euros at Iversen and now want to get it back. Since the farmer has looked in vain for the money from Teuber, he cannot help them and is beaten up by them and thrown into the pigsty. His remains are later discovered by the police. Torbrink, who has since found the money in the dunes, follows the crooks and drives them to death.

Borowski hears the seemingly traumatized Oejen who suffers from memory lapses and spends a night with her without having sex with her. Finally, Oejen remembers and confesses to having drowned Teuber himself in the tub while making love.

The film was shot from March 7, 2017 to April 5, 2017 on Amrum , Pellworm , Nordstrand , Fehmarn , in Husum , Heiligenhafen and Kiel . The filming location on Fehmarn was Petersdorf . The first screening took place at the Hamburg Film Festival on October 7, 2017.
