Jessica de Rooij

Jessica de Rooij (born April 1, 1981 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German composer of film music .

Life

Before starting her career, she studied at the Utrecht School of Art, Media & Technology in the Netherlands , where she received her Bachelor of Music with Honors. Jessica de Rooij then went to the Open University of England , where she did her Master of Arts in Composition in Context.

She gained her first experience in the film business in 2005 as an additional composer for the film BloodRayne , where she worked for the first time in a production by director Uwe Boll . Since then she has worked as a composer for all of Boll's films. Another director with whom she worked several times is Sven Bohse .

Jessica de Rooij lives in Berlin with the film director David Sieveking , the couple have two daughters.
