figure
The figure of the taciturn investigator goes back to an idea by Markus Stromiedel . However, the concept remained, which he only implemented once in the script for the crime film Stahlnetz . In this episode Borowski heads the criminal investigation department 1 in Hanover. His wife Gaby has separated from him, he lives alone in an anonymous skyscraper. For this reason he can later be transferred to Kiel, where he has been investigating life and limb in KK 7 since then . The crime scene episodes were written by various scriptwriters. In 2009 and 2015, the Swedish bestselling author Henning Mankell provided the templates for three Borowski scripts. The first crime scene based on a Mankell submission, Borowski and the fourth man , was broadcast for the first time on December 26, 2010 in the first , the second episode, Borowski and the cool dog , on November 6, 2011. The third episode based on a submission von Mankell, Borowski und das Fest des Nordens , was filmed in 2015, but was not broadcast until June 2017, as it takes place during the Kieler Woche and should also be broadcast on the occasion of this festival, which was not possible in 2016.
Klaus Borowski is always portrayed by Mankell's friend, the actor Axel Milberg .
With Borowski and the lonely hearts (2010), a novel about the investigator was also created. This was written by Hannes Nygaard based on a television script.
Assistants
In his first Tatort episodes his assistant was Alim Zainalow , played by Mehdi Moinzadeh . After he was suspected in the sixth episode of Sternenkinder to be an Islamist terrorist , and he felt that Borowski did not trust him, he was transferred and then did not show up again. Then the criminal psychologist Frieda Jung, played by Maren Eggert , took on the second leading role. A love affair finally develops between Borowski and Jung. After the episode Tango for Borowski , Eggert ended her involvement with the crime scene.
From 2010 to 2017 Sarah Brandt , played by Sibel Kekilli , supported the chief inspector in his investigations. Kekilli had been suggested by Milberg and first appeared in the role in Borowski and a question of pure taste in 2010; from the episode onwards, Borowski and the woman at the window , she was the inspector's steadfast partner. Initially, Brandt worked as a police trainee and was subsequently referred to as Borowski and the free fall as a commissioner. In February 2017, Sibel Kekilli announced that he wanted to quit in the same year; with the result Borowski and the North Festival , her role as Sarah Brandt was finally eliminated.
At the end of June 2017, it was announced that Almila Bagriacik would succeed Sibel Kekilli. In the episode Borowski and the House of Spirits , Bagriacik plays Borowski's assistant Mila Sahin for the first time .
